Bios:

Nick Macedo is a wizard. Not in the Harry Potter sense because Harry Potter’s a wuss. Nick is a wizard of juggling. Finding ways to manage the back-and-forth balancing act of his three passions: global community development (currently working with youth in Haiti), the art of spoken word, and a minor addiction to coffee. Born in California and raised in Ohio, Nick is a member of the 2011 Hollywood Slam Team (ranked 8th in the nation) and the 2011 Hollywood Grand Slam Champion. In addition he is the San Diego representative at the 2011 Individual World Slam. He was also a member of the 2010 Brass Knuckles Los Angeles Slam Team. His first chapbook, The Bear & The Cross, was released in November 2010 and his first CD, Without Flinching, will be released in September 2011. Someday, he hopes to own an actual wand.

Danielle Bennett hates cheese, is not afraid of heights, and thinks very highly of Benjamin Franklin. She's a Northern Virginia native, but after graduating from the University of Southern California she found a new home in Los Angeles, where she currently teaches 12th grade government and economics in Inglewood. On her not-so-free time, she is working toward her Masters in Education Administration and Policy at Loyola Marymount University and constantly refining her craft of spoken word. Danielle was part of the 2009 and 2010 Hollywood Slam Team for Ink Slam, and plans on competing on slams in the near future, as soon as her students and school allow her the time. Danielle and Nick Macedo have been running workshops together for the past two years, and they are still not sick of each other.
